Baltimore Police are investigating five separate homicides over a 20-hour span beginning Wednesday night as the city’s new mayor is promising a comprehensive approach to slowing the city’s relentless pace of killings.
The most recent attack came Thursday afternoon after an unidentified male had been fatally shot in East Baltimore in the 3000 block of E. Monument St. in the Madison-Eastend neighborhood. Police responded to the shooting around 4:26 p.m. after a ShotSpotter alert of reported gunfire, police said.
